RootUP is a group of students from Edmonton who believe culture is what connects us, even in a time when everything feels distant.

RootUP was founded with hopes to create a community that helps newcomers, such as immigrants and refugees, feel at home in a new environment while sharing their unique cultural identities with Edmonton’s mosaic. This sharing of cultures, stories, and experiences is at the heart of everything we do; through this work, we hope to play a part in building an even more connected city.
