Community BBQ – September 13th

We’re kicking AWOL off on Monday, September 13th from 12-3pm on Arts Quad where we’ll be slinging some good ol’ fashion burgers (veggie options available)!

Come say hi, grab a burger, and register for some of the fantastic workshops we’ve got in store for AWOL!

Workshops – September 14th -16th

The Anti-O 101 Workshop is an introductory workshop focused on developing foundational knowledge around anti-oppression, understanding power, and exploring how we can apply these tools in our day-to-day lives!

The Grant Writing for Students Workshop is all about learning what funding is available on campus and through other local granting organizations, and learning strategies to write a successful grant application!

The APIRG Granting Info Session is designed to provide information about the two funding streams and share advice to best prepare to apply for APIRG’s Granting streams. APIRG offers funding for student and community groups working on projects, events, or towards a shared collective goal that is rooted in the public interest. Up to $2000 in funding is available to groups each semester. We offer two granting streams – the Working Group grant and the Event/Project grant.

The in-person events scheduled for Friday, September 17th have been cancelled.

Community Mixer & Variety Show – September 17th

On Friday, September 17th APIRG will be taking over the CO*LAB space located at 9641 102A Ave NW!

Come stop by between 12-4pm to meet folks in the APIRG community and learn about APIRG programming, events, funding opportunities, and community projects! Snacks will be available!

In the evening we will be hosting a variety show featuring poetry, sketch comedy, and endless music! Full line-up TBA. :)
