Mission SpaceWalker is a group of women & underrepresented individuals collaborating on space exploration & technology development research!

The Analogue Mission project is contributing to a community based citizen science initiative. One of the goals of this project is to bring more tangible awareness to the local environmental impacts and changes in the Jasper area, and this project will make that research available, accessible and interactive for the community. The Mission SpaceWalker team will continue promoting women and minorities in STEM and encourage the community to consider how actions impact the health of our planet.

The group will be putting together an experiment with Rockaboo that will be accessible to the community and tourists of Jasper. While hiking along the Athabasca glacier, people will be able to contribute to this experiment by aiding in the data collection process. They will be able to attend tours of some facilities, learn more about the data analysis portion of the project as well as the impacts on the glacier and the local environment.
